Data Security
DISS uses the HTTPS protocol to secure data transfers over the internet. Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is an extension of HTTP that ensures encrypted communication. The DISS database is encrypted using RSA cryptographic technology, which transforms data into cipher text to safeguard client information. The database is backed up daily to ensure data can be recovered within a reasonable time frame.
Compliance & Eligibility
DISS complies with the Electronic Transactions Law (2003 Revision) as amended (the “ETL”), the Data Protection Law, 2017 as amended (the “DPL”) and relevant legislation in applicable jurisdictions. Precision also complies with the requirements of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 as amended (“GDPR”).
Intelligence
DISS intelligently detects applicable options based on user inputs and provides reminders for any outstanding or required items. Auto email notifications are sent at each step, reducing back-and-forth communication between applicants, directors, and administrators. Available 24/7, DISS allows applicants to complete and submit their applications electronically from a desktop, laptop, mobile phone, or tablet—anytime, anywhere. First-time users can typically complete an application within 10 minutes.
Investor Types
DISS supports a variety of investor types, including individuals, entities, trusts, limited partnerships, foundations, and LLCs. Up to four joint applicants can be supported, with flexible combinations of individuals and/or entities, along with joint e-signature functionality. DISS is available in English and both traditional and simplified Chinese.
Director Portal
Directors are notified by DISS via real-time email alerts when an application is successfully submitted. All online communication details—including types, dates, applicant names, etc.—can be reviewed and approved through the encrypted web-based portal.
Client Portal
Clients are notified via real-time email alerts upon approval of their applications. Additional email notifications are sent if further action is required following the initial review. Applicants can manage their applications through the encrypted web-based portal, submit new applications, and download all personal communication records and completed electronic forms for their own record-keeping purposes.
